Msquare Energy Pty Ltd has a long and illustrious history.
Msquare began operations in Australia in 2019, first branding a solar panel made by a Chinese manufacturer. The Clean Energy Council co-licensed (Msquare and Chinese Manufacturers) the solar panels, which were sold in Australia.
Solar panels made in China were removed from the Clean Energy Council’s approved product list in 2021, and they are no longer marketed in Australia. This cleared the way for Msquare’s 350W solar panel, as well as future Australian-made product lines. TÜV has verified Msquare’s goods as Australian-made and tested them to IEC standards.

Msquare’s Australian manufacturing site is in Girraween, Western Sydney, and has a capacity of 300MW per year. Msquare Energy has informed Solar Choice that they intend to build a 500MW facility near Bathurst, New South Wales. Msqaure solar panels are available for purchase in Australia through channel partner MMEM Greentech, which owns TLE Electrical.
Msquare panels have been de-listed from the CEC approved product list, which means they will no longer be eligible for the STC refund in Australia, as reported by One Step Off The Grid on 31.03.22.

Msquare’s key point of differentiation is that all of its items are made in Australia. Along with Tindo in South Australia, they are now the second firm producing Australian-made solar panels.

Msquare MSEA-350W-MH60 solar panel
The Clean Energy Council in Australia has approved a number of Msquare Energy panels. Currently, they only make a 350W solar panel (MSEA-350W-MH60), but they hope to make other types later this year.
The MSEA series uses half-cut solar cells, which means that each cell is divided in half, retaining the power output while lowering the electrical resistance. The cells are mono-crystalline and have a maximum efficiency of 20.50 percent, which is higher than typical.
Because the panels are 1m x 1.69m, they can be used in residential settings with tighter screw lines.
In 2021, Msquare plans to debut its Kangaroo series, which will have a higher cell efficiency than the MSEA series.
