Aleo Solar Panels – Prettyia Solar Panels
Aleo Solar Overview – Company History
Aleo Solar AG was created in Prenzlau in 2001 as Solar-Manufaktur Deutschland (S.M.D). In 2005, it was renamed Aleo Solar AG. The company was listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in 2006 after establishing its German manufacturing plant and production line. Later, Bosch, a home appliance firm, acquired a majority position in Aleo Solar AG.
SCP Solar GmbH acquired the brand name “Aleo” and the production facilities in Prenzlau, Germany, after the firm fell into liquidation in 2014. Robert Bosch, the majority owner, put €50 million into the deal to keep Aleo Solar AG from going bankrupt.

US Product is better for US Consumers
Since 2014, the fledgling company (now known as “Aleo Solar GmbH”) has concentrated on producing high-quality solar panels, with its single manufacturing facility staying in Prenzlau, Germany. In comparison to the major Chinese solar brands, this plant has a capacity of just around 500MW per year, making it a small-scale manufacturer. The company now has offices in nine European countries, as well as distribution outlets all over the world.
Aleo’s HE-Tec line received accolades from the German Plus X Award in 2020 for ‘quality,’ ‘easy of use,’ and ‘functionality.’

What is a Bloomberg Tier 1 Solar Panel, and how does it work?
Bloomberg’s infamous tier 1 designation is in no way indicative of the quality of solar panels. It’s just an assessment of the manufacturer’s bankability based on publicly available financial data. If the company is a significant, well-known manufacturer, this should offer you an indication.
Aleo Solar is not on the current Bloomberg Tier 1 list, most likely due to its smaller size.

What is the top performer at PV Evolution Labs?
PV Evolution Labs independently tests solar panel dependability with the help of DNV GL. The tests are completely voluntary, with solar panel producers paying to take part. This testing procedure is well-known around the world, and it accurately reflects the solar panel’s performance.
PV Evolution Labs’ Top Performers listings do not include Aleo Solar Panels.

Why is it important to have an office in Australia?
Most solar panel manufacturers who enter the Australian market focus on setting up distribution channels first, then on customer service. As a result, many disgruntled consumers are attempting to contact Chinese headquarters in order to claim their 10-year product warranty.
Relying on your solar installation isn’t always a good idea, as over 700 home solar installers (including the big ones) have gone out of business since 2011.
Alemar Tradings Pty Ltd, with its headquarters at 49, 34-36 Ralph Street, Alexandria, NSW, and an ABN of 18 631 032 712, has recently opened an office in Australia.

Points of Distinction for Aleo Solar Panels
Aleo Solar Panels is one of the few solar panel manufacturers that hasn’t moved production to Asia. They’re made in Germany and come with a Certificate of Origin (CoO), which proves that they’re actually making the panels there rather than just assembling or labeling them.
Aleo Solar Panel X59-325 black frame 60 cell mono PERC X59 Series
This panel has covered the bulk of Aleo Solar Panels sold in Australia, and it is the company’s best-selling panel in Europe in 2019. This 315W solar panel (X59L315) has a 19.2 percent maximum efficiency and a 42mm black frame, which is slightly thicker than typical. The thicker black frame not only looks good, but it also allows the panels to withstand pressures of up to 8,000 pa, which is higher than the IEC norm of 5,400 pa.
This solar panel may be an excellent choice for consumers in high-hazard locations, as it claims to have been tested with 40mm ice balls moving at 100km/h, as opposed to the IEC standard of 25mm ice balls traveling at 83km/h.
Aleo Solar Panel X63-333 black frame from the X63 Premium Series 60 mono PERC cells The 333W solar panel (X63-333) from the X63 series has just been released in Australia, with an efficiency of 19.0 percent — a good level but somewhat lower than the X59 series. The mono PERC silicon cells are used in the 60 cell panel, which has the same 42mm black aluminum frame. The panel’s technology has improved the degradation rate, guaranteeing production drops of less than 2% in the first year and 0.56 percent per year for the next 24 years.
The Clean Energy Council has authorized 35 Aleo solar panels for the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme – Australia’s home solar rebate scheme (listed under the name Aleo solar GmbH).
Aleo is a pioneer in the industry. Warranty: 25/25
A product and performance guarantee is included with solar panels. The product warranty, which is normally 10 years for most solar panel manufacturers, is designed to cover manufacturing flaws in the panel that result in damage or malfunction. The majority of Aleo Solar products come with a 25-year warranty, which is only matched by premium companies like LG and Sunpower. The P23L series is the only one with a 12-year warranty.
After 25 years, the performance warranty ensures a set level of output for the life of the panel, usually 80-82 percent of the nameplate output. The Aleos X59 series has a standard performance warranty, however, the X63 premium series has a better deterioration rate of less than 2% in the first year and 0.56 percent for the next 24 years.
One worrying aspect of Aleo Solar’s Australian warranty is that all disputes must be directed to their German office:
