Does anyone else get cheesed off by our attachment to resources such as gas and electricity?
I am asking because yesterday there was a power cut where I lived and the electricity was off for 5 hours and I was sitting at him thinking "shoot" no tv, no lighting, no computer, no heating.. So I went out for a drive until it was all resolved…
Then the same thing happened today due to the adverse weather conditions. I had lighting and power, but no heating or hot water for about ten hours… the company could not resolve the problem which affected most of the area in which I live and so there is a generator sitting outside the properties providing electricity now as they cannot find the fault.
I just hate feeling so reliant upon needing gas and electricity because when it goes you are kind of stuck… It’s strange as when I was on holiday in Uganda in February, I spent most of my time there in darkness as electricity supply was sporadic… maybe I should get solar power.. !!
Anyone else get cheesed of with this over reliance??
Yes but if i never had it i couldnt make cheese toasties
