I would like to buy landscaping lights that put out some good lighting. I prefer the solar but I have seen them in action and they have very poor lighting. Does anyone know of a good quality landscaping lighting? Thank you for your answers.

To my way of thinking, low voltage and solar lighting should be called luminous markers, not lights. I’ve given mine away in favor of 115V exterior PAR floods and spots connected to dimmers, photocells and GFIs. More light and more control. I’ve used a few CFLs, but make sure you get those that can be dimmed. RScott

I bought the new Westinghouse solar lights at Wal-Mart for $4 apiece. Now, I’d like to know how long it takes for them to charge before they start working. I’ve never had solar lights before. They are the smaller landscape solar lights. Thanx.

Can you leave so Solar Lights for landscaping out all year round, even in the winter?

Does cold temps hurt them?

We leave our solar lights out year around. Because there is more night and less sun, they do not stay lit all night long in the winter. The cold temps have not hurt them, but we live in Oklahoma and it does not get as cold here as it does up north.
