Outdoor Solar Lights

Like if you put a piece of blue glass on a solar panel how much energy would that create.

If you put a piece of blue glass (glass that has a white light shone through it that turns the light blue) would only allow the energy contained in the blue light through to the solar panel. This would decrease a large amount of energy from the solar panel unless it was specifically designed to absorb that color of light.

A majority of the light from the sun is near infrared and visible light. Thus solar panels tend to absorb all visible incoming light and use that for power, rather than a specific small band of light (say, the color blue)

Both my kids and my husband have this thing where they sneeze when they enter into bright sunlight outside. Sometimes it doesn’t happen until they’re already in the car and the light shines in on them. They also have very sensitive eyes, blue. Anybody else with this? Sensitive eyes? Allergies?
So it’s not related to sensitive eyes. Brown eyed people have it – does it exist in all types of backgrounds/ racial groups?

Standard solar cells only use the red spectum of light to convert light to energy. Is it possible to change other wave lengths to red by the use of lenses?

Blue light does not contain any red so even with coloured lenses there would be no red to filter.

if I have had mild acne starting at the age of 12 and am 15 when will it end. my parents had mild acne as well does that mean anything? I mean I have had some bad breakouts and I was thinking that it can only get better because I am over the worst part and going to stop having acne all together as long as I
Cleanse 2 times daily
use toner
and use a moisterizer/oil free and sacrilyic acid serum
use a dermotologist blue solar light for 15 minutes daily

Acne can be hereditary but it sounds like you’re over the worst of it.
You’re doing great with all of the steps. It should go away soon. Depending on how bad it is, it could take a few days to a couple of weeks.
I recomend Neutrogena products because i have been refered to use it by a dermatolagist and it I love it. I’ve been using it for a few months now and it works great.

I already bought one, and it reflects quite a bit of light. But the site i bought it from said it works with the greenhouse effect instead.

I don’t believe they work any better than the blue/black ones. The reason that solar collectors are dark color is to absorb the most amount of light. Black color is composed of the whole color spectrum. In chemistry, blackbody means it absorbs all light falling on it and does not emit/reflect it back out. Basically if you have two room one lighter color and one dark color, you will notice that the lighter color room will appear brighter since light is being reflected. In a darker color room, the most of the light is being absorbed so it will appear dimmer. You’ll notice that solar calculators have the solar collector in dark color like black.

i read they are only on during the night which means i will have blue lights as door handles. will this be illegal in Oregon? i know driving with your neon’s on at night are illegal but in not sure if the side lights are illegal i know the laws about the lights in the front of my car and in the back but what about the side?

Side marker lights have to be amber in front and red in rear. If driving with neons is illegal in your state/city, you can bet the door handles will attract unwanted attention, also.

i understand what it is but how does it work?
the sun makes allot of light for us doesnt that pollute allot?

it’s a common term. it’s the way artificial light at night lights up the sky and you can’t see the stars.

We need to brighten up the front of our house and want to use solar lighting, but most solar lights just give off that blue glow and not really alot of light. I’m willing to pay for good ones, just wondering if there are any good ones?

Call your local landscape contractor and ask him or her. Be sure you talk to someone who does design and installation, and has been in business for a long while. Ask for their recommendation and where you can purchase them.

There are professional grade lighting systems that you cannot get at places like Home Depot. And many of the places that carry them will only sell to contractors, not to the general public.
